From the very first poem there is a connection between the reader and the author of this book. Kasten expresses emotions as though her pen weeps for joy or sorrow. As she tells of her experiences through poetry she transfers the reader with her to another time and place.

Tears of laughter, joy, sorrow, and remorse flow freely from the reader throughout the pages of Dancing Amidst the Chaos compiled by Julie Kasten. Mostly written in the poetic free-style fashion Kasten expresses more than just words on a page; she expresses feelings everyone has had at one time or another.

Dancing Amidst the Chaos is a very intriguing and moving collection of poetic works and I would recommend this book to all poetry lovers.

An emotional theme park with none but great rides. This hard to put down book of poems gives its reader a glimpse into the thoughts of a woman, exhibiting the personal strengths, weaknesses, thoughts and feelings of its author. Julie has offered us the chance to get to know her in a way I have never before seen in poetry, using a style of writing transformed into one of her own.

The ups and downs of life’s journey as seen through the eyes of a loving mother, wife and friend are just some of what is in store for readers of this awesome little book. A book that has a way of impressing the writer’s core values and feelings in an emotionally fitting train ride through the mind of an incredible person I wish to thank for sharing her mind with me.
